Your IP Address is in the top right corner and this is how you hide it

Your IP Address is how your computer is identified on the internet. It’s how websites, search engines, governments, employers, internet providers (isp’s), and anyone else, can block, track & record all of your online activity. They record it in databases, along with all activity associated with it. What’s worse is that they will often share data with each other, and sometimes even sell it. For example, have you noticed that whenever you search in google, somehow they mysteriously know where you live. Like if you type in “dentist”, the search suggestion drop-down will very often suggest “{your town} dentists”, and many of the ads on the search page will be from local dentists in your area (or other such local businesses). This is just an example, not all local dentists advertise on search engines, but try some sample searches of your own, like pizza, or apartments, etc..

You’ll also notice that the more you do it (ie, the more local links you end up clicking) the more often you will get local results when you search. That’s because they store every single one of your searches in a database (ie, they have a giant record of every single search string your ip address has ever typed in, and every website you visited as a result of those searches). Comforting isn’t it.

Your IP Address Also Broadcasts the Geographic Location of Your Computer Connection

. So, for example, if you live in Dallas Texas, then your ip will broadcast that location to anyone that wants to see it. All major websites (and most of the minor ones too) have a script running on their servers to extract it directly from your web browser (google, craigslist, ebay, amazon, etc, and even your internet service provider ISP). Your web browser (firefox, IE, safari, opera, chrome, etc..) carries your ip around with it like a license plate on a car.

The Only Way to Prevent that from Happening is to Hide Your IP

(and also hide the fact that you’re hiding it – see http headers below). Hiding your ip involves using a different ip (like borrowing your buddy’s license plate, a buddy that preferably lives in a different state). Now your buddy might not be too keen on that idea, but the good news is; there are hosting companies that will rent you a remote server (with it’s own private ip address on it) from a different state (usually for less than about $10 bucks/month). These remote servers are called “Virtual Private Servers” (VPS’s). Don’t get nervous about the “virtual” part. It does NOT mean virtually private (it’s fully private); the word virtual is simply referring to the method by which the server is accessed (ie, it’s accessed “virtually”, ie, via the “virtual world” using your web browser, over the internet).

Your IP Address is Not the Only Way Your Computer is Identified Online

IP-tracking (aka, geo-tracking) is just the first part of the computer identification (or computer tracking) process. The second part to the puzzle involves “http headers”. An http header is an electronic packet that your computer broadcasts to any computer, server, website, etc, that it connects to (like your ISP for example). It’s true that Your IP Address is The First Line of Defense for Online Privacy, but hiding the remote server’s http headers is equally important, and very often over-looked; which is why many people think that they’re privacy is being protected when it really isn’t. Most people that know a little bit about hiding an IP, either don’t know, or ignore the very simple next step that would keep their online activities completely private and hidden.

Changing the http headers of the borrowed ip server (ie, the proxy server) is as simple as changing a few files (the header files) on the server (from server headers to personal computer headers). If you’re going to hide your ip address anyway, why not go one tiny step further and also change the header files. To clarify (if it’s your first time here) when you do NOT change the server’s http headers, you end up with an “anonymous proxy” (that sounds good right, but trust me, it’s not complete, because an anonymous proxy broadcasts the fact that it’s a proxy server, ie, it broadcasts the fact that You Are Hiding Your IP). On the other hand; When you DO change the http headers, what you get is an “elite” proxy server (aka, “Highly” Anonymous Proxy). An elite proxy server means that the http headers have been changed, and thus, no one can detect that you’re hiding your ip and geo-location. You appear to be a totally different person, in a totally different city, that is connecting to the internet using a “personal computer” (not a proxy server). — You Are Here: Your IP Address Is Shown Above & This is How You Hide it

Learn How to Set Up Proxy Server of Your Own

OPTION #1:

Standard Version

Use this option to set up as many elite proxy servers as you want to for the rest of your life. It will never become outdated because the script automatically updates itself every time you use it.

  $14.99

OPTION #2:

Advanced Version

Same as option #1 above but also includes instructions for putting multiple ip addresses on the same proxy server. Don't bother with this option if you only need 1 new ip address (most users) but if you want to put lots of different ip addresses all on the same proxy then this is the option for you.
