Gmail Proxy: Learn How to Set Up a Gmail Proxy Server

Are you tired of spending more time looking for gmail proxies to unblock gmail than you actually spend using them to bypass gmail blocks? That might be the biggest problem with using someone else’s proxy server. Of course that’s not the only big problem is it? Slow speed & unreliability is another big problem that comes to mind quite easily. Open proxies are notoriously slow and unreliable, which isn’t surprising since everyone else is trying to use them too. I could spend this whole page discussing the dangers and annoyances of searching for open gmail proxies, but it’s likely more productive to tell you about the advantages of setting up your own personal gmail proxy server. That’s what we do here: we teach you how to set up proxy server of your own.

What is a Gmail Proxy Server?

A gmail proxy server (ie, a proxy used to unblock gmail, or “bypass gmail”) is accoumplished by setting up a high anonymous proxy server (aka, an elite proxy server). This Screen Shot shows you the basic idea. Gmail gets blocked because people know that gmail exists, so they put gmail into their blocking proxy to prevent you from using it from work or school or where ever. But when you make a proxy server of your own, no one knows that your proxy exists, so how can they block it?

It’s Actually Very Cheap & Easy to Get Your Very Own Personal Gmail Proxy.

The first thing you need is a remote hosting account. These are very similar to the hosting accounts other people use to put small dedicated websites on. The only real differene though, is that instead of putting a website script on the remote server, we put an elite proxy script on it. Then instead of connecting directly to gmail, you set your browser to connect through you proxy server first. This is important because now you never have to actually connect to gmail yourself. Your proxy server connects to it for you … and they can’t block your proxy server from connecting to it.
