Multi-Proxy Switch Firefox Add-on
Multi-Proxy Switch is an add-on tool for the Firefox web browser. It allows you to very easily switch between multiple ip addresses (either between your real ip address and your private proxy server’s ip address, or between multiple private proxy ip addresses).
There are other more complex and feature rich proxy switchers out there, but this one has the huge advantage of being extremely light and effective.
It’s already pretty easy to switch your browser’s proxy settings manually, but this little proxy switch tool just makes it more efficient if you switch proxy ip’s frequently.
Add this proxy tool add-on to your Firefox web browser after you’ve already set up your proxy server, and it will allow you to change your ip address much more quickly.

This first screenshot (above) shows the multi proxy switch toolbar as it looks once added to your Firefox browser. You’ll notice the simplicity. Use the drop-down menu to choose which of your private ip’s you want to switch to, and then just click the “apply” button to change your ip address.

This next screenshot (to the right) shows the simple “options” settings where (as you can see) you can also set the tool to automatically clear your cookies and refresh the page when you switch your ip address.
This is a very useful option obviously, since you’ll definitely want to clear your cookies whenever you change ip addresses, especially if you’ve been logged into an account. For example, if you’re logged into gmail or craigslist, you don’t want gmail or craigslist seeing two different ip addresses associated with the same user account. So you’ll need to clear the cookies that those accounts set (gmail or craigslist in this example).
In situations like this (ie, if you are using multiple user accounts and don’t want that fact known) you’ll want to have a separate private ip address for each user account.

This third screenshot shows how the tool accesses Firefox’s proxy settings for you with one click, instead of doing it manually like you would normally have to (Manual Screen Shot).
The proxy switcher tool is totally free by the way, and you can get it directly from Firefox’s “add-on’s” page. This is the link to Download Free Multi-Proxy Switch Firefox Add-on Updated for Firefox 7

The sreenshots above are still applicable, except for the top one, because the “Proxy Selector Firefox Add-on” has its menu in Firefox’s new bottom “add-ons bar” instead of up at the top.
I just updated to Firefox 10 beta and
So basically (depending on which version of Firefox you’re using) if one of these doesn’t work, then just try the other one (they seem to switch back and forth between which one works when you update to a new version of Firefox).
Working fine w/ Firefox 11 beta
OPTION #1:
Standard Version
Use this option to set up as many elite proxy servers as you want to for the rest of your life. It will never become outdated because the script automatically updates itself every time you use it.
OPTION #2:
Advanced Version
Same as option #1 above but also includes instructions for putting multiple ip addresses on the same proxy server. Don't bother with this option if you only need 1 new ip address (most users) but if you want to put lots of different ip addresses all on the same proxy then this is the option for you.
