Learn How to
Turn a Cheap VPS into Your Own Personal Elite Proxy Server:

Monthly hosting fees for
unmanaged Virtual Private
Servers have gotten so cheap these days that it makes perfect sense to
use them
as personal proxy servers. I strongly believe that if the average
internet user
understood how much personal information about them was being tracked
and
recorded by so many different entities while they are online, that
there would
not be a single internet user surfing the internet without their own
private
proxy server.
But as we all know; public access
proxy servers are
notorious for being incredibly slow, and in fact, incredibly insecure
themselves, thus defeating the whole point of using a proxy server to
Hide Your
IP Address, Unblock Websites, Prevent ISP and Search Engine Tracking,
and such.
So when the hosting fees for an unmanaged VPS dropped through the floor
(easily
less than $10/month) it opened an amazing opportunity for the average
internet
user. Namely, that we could all easily afford the same level of privacy
that
had been too expensive to accomplish prior.
The actual process of turning a
VPS into a Personal
Elite Proxy Server is pretty simple: Basically, you just sign up for a
hosting
package, very similarly to the way you sign up for a website hosting
package. Since
you’ll be getting a hosting package for an
“Unmanaged” VPS, that means that you’ll
have “Root Access” to the server (which you easily
access via your normal web
browser) and thus, you can instruct the VPS to upload software to
itself. Proxy
software is freely available as “Open-Source” and
thus you don’t pay a dime for
it. You just upload the software to your new VPS, and then configure
the
software in such a way as to allow you to access it via your web
browser. The
VPS itself has its own unique IP address, and thus when you connect to
the
internet through your new Personal Elite Proxy Server, the only IP
address
transmitted is the IP address of the VPS (and thus, your real IP
address cannot
be tracked).
And if you make the wise decision
to upload “Elite” Proxy
software, as opposed to “Anonymous” proxy software,
not only will you be
anonymous, but you’ll also be hiding the fact that
you’re using a proxy (i.e.,
hiding the fact that you’re using a fake IP address).
So there you have it, the only
thing left to do is
find someone that can quickly show you how to upload the elite proxy
server
software to the VPS, and configure that software to be accessible from
your web
browser (like me for instance). It’s actually really easy to
do, and only takes
between 30-60 minutes. If you can Copy & Paste, you can easily
do this for
yourself.
