"DoFollow" BackLinks:

How does having Your Very Own
Personal Elite VPS Proxy
Server have anything to do with "DoFollow" Backlinks, and getting
more of them? If you're really asking that question right now, then
it's very
obvious that you missed class the day they were talking about Internet
History!
The Answer is SPAM-Filters my friend! You see, back in the old days,
all hyper-links were "DoFollow".
The "NoFollow" operator didn't even exist yet, so if you got a link
(any
link) you were pretty happy. There was no reason to go searching around
trying
to figure out which article directories had nofollow, and which had
"dofollow"
-they were all "dofollow" (btw, I keep putting that in quotes because
it's slang -there is no actual "dofollow" tag, it either says
nofollow, or it doesn't say anything).
Now 'round about this same time,
people started
gettin' all exited about web-logs (blogs). You see, they all thought is
was so
cute having their buddies come by their website and read their most
intimate
thoughts, and then leave comments about what they read. I have to say,
I've
never understood this, and likely never will. When I was growing up,
telling
anyone (let alone the whole world, including "the government") every
little thought, idea, plan, feeling, desire, or fear that popped into
your
head, was plain old lunacy. And in my part of town, is sure as hell
still is! However,
I've gotten off point. So anyway; everyone's surfin' around all
giddy-like,
posting their personal diaries all over the web, and letting people
attach
comments to the end of their blogs. Well pretty soon Frank starts
thinkin', "Hey,
if I leave the address to my blog here at the end of Freddy's blog,
then I can
steal Freddy's readers over to read my blog instead." So that's what he
did, and en' masse, because he realized that if he could do it to
Freddy's
blog, why not keep doing it to a bunch of other people's blogs too,
(imagine
how much traffic he could get!). So then, of course, Freddy's no idiot,
he
started doing it to. (oh wait, did I mention that Freddy &
Frank both sell
stuff on their respective blogs?). Well, guess what happened next?
Yup, you guessed it, Freddy
& Frank both got
fingered (as spammers) because very soon after, the NOFOLLOW police
came
rushing in to save the day, and it didn't take long for almost all
websites to
start using these nofollow tags on their links (as a way to
de-incentivize this
massive link posting game (this traffic "borrowing" game). For some
reason, people just don't post 300 comments a day on your blog once
they
realize that the spiders aren't biting anymore. Well of course, this
nofollow
thing was a pretty big slap across the head, but brighter minds were
planning
an even bigger pummeling!
Why settle for hoping that
nofollow links will de-incentivize
these internet marketers, when you can just flat out block them? And
alas, was
born the now infamous Spam-Filter (also known as, if you're starting to
see the
point here, The IP Filter). Ah, the spam filter. Now all these
"dofollow"
backlinks websites that you internet marketers care so much about
(possibly the
one that led you here) can afford to use the nofollow tag a little less
often,
because instead, whenever their spam/IP filter catches the same IP
address
trying to break their rules, they simply block that IP address from
posting/submitting/voting/participating/et
cetera. For example, I can tell you that if you post more than three or
four
book reviews on amazon, for the same book, from the same IP address,
then
amazon's spam-filter will block you (usually they don't tell you
they're
blocking you, they just make it seem as if there's a technical problem
until
you get annoyed enough and give up). If you try to create more than one
username, from the same IP address, at the same article directory, so
that you
can vote on, rank, rate, et cetera, your own articles, they will
block/blacklist
your IP address. Let's not even talk about craigslist and the other
free
classified sites, they'll block your IP just for having three dots in
it (that's
a joke Frank; I know all IP's have three dots in them, loosen up man!).
There
are quite a few directories these days that put your article into a
cue, and it
doesn't get to even start the approval process until the article that
you
submitted before it gets approved -if you only have one user account
(because
you only have one IP address) you could be waiting a week or more just
to get
into the on deck circle. Those are just a few examples, I can't hold
your hand
all the way through this thing, you're going to have to start getting
creative -use
your imagination ...IP... User Account... IP... User Account... One
IP... One
User Account... Three IP's... Three User Accounts... Three IP's...
Three User
Accounts... Three Votes... Three Diggs... Three More Articles... 3X as
Many "DoFollow"
Backlinks, et cetera!
Too Bad there isn't some guy with
a funny name (it's pronounced sen-ah-kuh by the way!) that could sell
me an
ebook showing me step-by-step exactly how to get myself multiple,
totally
private, totally anonymous, totally unique IP addresses, from a bunch
of
different cities all over the country, and all for less than $10/month
per IP
Address! "Too bad", because even with just one of these extra IP
Addresses I could instantly double my marketing efforts". Whoa-is-me...
what
to do...what - to - dooooo?
