How Fast is an Elite Proxy Server?

An elite proxy server is not intended to make your internet connection faster. That’s not at all what this is about. If you’ve ever used a typical (i.e., non-Private) proxy, two things happen. Number one, everyone knows that you’re using a proxy because the proxy identifies itself to the network as a proxy. Number two, viewing web pages through them takes forever and very often the connection “times out”. Hundreds, if not thousands of people are all trying to use them at the same time, but in the end it’s a disappointing waste of time for everyone because they’re so slow. Solution: Set up proxy server that only you have acess to.

When I say that your own private elite proxy server is fast, it means that it’s a lot faster than non-exclusive/non-private “public” proxy servers are. This is very easy to understand because you will be the only person on the planet using your private proxy server, and thus, it will be fast. Obviously I don’t know what type of connection you’re using to connect directly to the web, but this proxy server cannot make that connection any faster than it already is. In general you won’t notice much of a difference at all from the way you’re connecting directly now. On my computer I’m using a basic cable modem and I don’t notice a difference. The speed is probably less consistant than the speed you get from your ISP, afterall you are only paying about $10/month for it, but compared to shared public proxies, it’s really fast.
