Elite Proxy Server FAQ

Why so cheap?
(ie, a glimpse into my sales philosophy)

I do play around with the price a lot w/ split-testing (mainly because I can’t write sales copy very well, so I figure my time is better spent trying to generate more traffic than trying to play salesman) … but basically; the more traffic I get, the more I can lower the price.

Furthermore, the fact that you used search terms that ended up landing you here on this site, makes it quite likely that you already have a pretty good idea what elite proxies are used for … so either you need one or you don’t.

For me it’s basically just a numbers game because my traffic is pretty highly focused (ie, 95+% of my visitors do want what I’m selling — to learn how to set up an elite proxy server).

So I’m constantly trying to strike a balance with my pricing between what my guide is worth to them, as compared to what their time is worth to them (ie, because many people figure they can probably learn how to do this somewhere else for free).

The question though (if that’s true) then becomes: Can they find it faster than X-number-of-dollars worth of their time & frustration … and even then; will it be as easy to setup as I’ve made it in my guide (and will it provide the pre-configured script as my guide does, or will you have to learn how to configure the script too)?

My method involves typing in 5 (sometimes 6) command lines (that grab my script, initiate it, and then automatically do the setup for you) and that’s basically it. The only other thing you have to do is paste your new ip address into your browser’s connection settings section, and you’re done.

So again … Why so cheap? Because I’m trying to make it more attractive than having to go searching around the web and getting frustrated as hell, would be … and then giving up on the whole thing (in which case, then, both of us lose.

The crazy part about all this option-weighing though, is that buying my guide is a zero risk proposition anyway (ie, it’s completely risk free for 60 days).

I’ve never actually had to issue a refund yet, but if I ever do get a request for one, I’ll refund it the same day I get it (and if I fail to make the refund for some crazy reason, Paypal sure as hell will. You don’t even have to type in a reason anymore at Paypal (these days all you have to do is click a radio button from a pre-defined list of reasons for requesting the refund).

In conclusion, and as mentioned above; the more traffic I get, the more I’ll lower the price.

I don’t know if this is what I need because you mention so many different kinds of proxies

I admit that it can be confusing, but I have to do that because people often search for a proxy by naming what they want to use it for (ie, utorrent proxy, gmail proxy, facebook proxy, craigslist proxy etc …).

The other big reason is that there are several different names for the same type of proxy. Some people like to call it an elite proxy and other people like to call it a high anonymous proxy, but those are just two different names for the exact same thing.

It also gets a bit more confusing because an elite (high anonymous) proxy is an advanced (ie, undetectable) version of a “regular” anonymous proxy (which is also sometimes referred to as an http proxy or https proxy).

A 3rd big reason is that elite proxies are multi-taskers. The 1st task is that they bypass your ISP (and other proxies like work proxies, school proxies, and government proxies) so that you can access sites that you have been blocked from by those types of institutions. Basically, you connect to your proxy and then the proxy connects to those “blocked” websites for you (so you never actually connect to those sites directly).

The 2nd task that elite proxies do is allow you to use websites that have blocked you themselves. In this case it’s the website itself that is blocking you (not one of the institutions mentioned above). Those other institutions block you by using a proxy of their own (a network proxy, blocking proxy, filtering proxy).

But websites themselves block you in a totally different way. They block you by logging (and then blocking) your ip address (ie, your computer’s license plate, so to speak).

… and again, different people try to describe that same exact situation in a bunch of different ways (I need to: hide my ip address, block my ip address, unblock my ip address, mask my ip address, get a new ip address, etc …)

… but in the end, they all mean pretty much the exact same thing (ie, they want to set up a proxy server so that they can use the proxy server’s ip address instead of the ip address assigned to them by their ISP/internet service provider).

Note: all modern browsers now have a simple setting that allows you to very easily enter a proxy server’s ip address so that your browser automatically uses the proxy ip instead of your own real ip address.

In Firefox for example click:
Tools >> Options >> Advanced >> Network >> Settings
screen shot

Note: Your actual ip address is displayed right up there under the header graphic on every page of my site … it’s that easy for a website to get your ip address (like I just did). So if I then want to block you from visiting this site I can just set up a filter to block that specific ip address.

BUT … if you set up your own elite proxy server, then I’ll never actually see your real ip address; I’ll only see your proxy’s ip address (which I haven’t blocked).

After you setup your proxy and come back here, your real ip address will no longer be displayed up there (your proxy’s ip address will be displayed up there instead) and I’ll be none the wiser (nor will any other website).

So you see, elite proxies solve this problem just as easily because an elite proxy “server” has it’s own ip address (or multiple different ip addresses if you like) so when you connect through your proxy server the website only sees the ip address of the server because (as mentioned above) the server is the only machine that is actually directly connecting to it.

The server then forwards those requests back to you (your computer never actually connects to the website).

As a result, your blocked ip address is never seen by the website so you are free to use the site as if you were a totally different person. And if you get that ip address blocked too, all you have to do is cancel that proxy and set up another one (or set up a bunch all at once and appear to be several different people).

* ISPs, employers, schools, and governments block your “connection”. The websites themselves block your “IP address”.

So in short; elite proxies solve your problem regardless of whether it’s your “connection” to a site that is being blocked … or if it’s your “ip address” that is being blocked.

Side note: a regular anonymous (http/https) proxy reveals itself to be a proxy (ie, server) connection, BUT elite (ie, high anonymous) proxies do NOT (which is what makes them undetectable).

They allow you to hide your ip address like a regular anonymous proxy, but then they go a big step farther and also hide themselves (that is the big advantage of elite proxies and why people started calling them “high anonymous”).

The end result is that an elite proxy works perfectly for pretty much anything you need a proxy for.

For example, a utorrent proxy is just an elite proxy that you use for downloading and seeding torrents with.

A gmail proxy is just an elite proxy that you use if you’ve been blocked from using gmail.

A craigslist proxy is just an elite proxy that you use to setup multiple new ip addresses to post multiple ads with, etc, etc, etc …

Okay, those are the two big FAQ … I’ll add more in the future.
Note however, that I absolutely do NOT do craigslist coaching.
