Build Your Own Proxy Server on a VPS
Building Your Own Proxy Server on a VPS Virtual Private Server only takes about 15 or 20 minutes to set up. The first time you do it it’ll take a little longer than that, but by the second or third time you’ll be flying. The vps hosting company will send you a link to your hypervm control panel. The control panel has a bunch of icons for all sorts of different functioning, but you don’t have to worry about that at all, because there are only two (2) icons you’ll need to use to build your proxy server on it. The file manager icon is the first one you’ll need . This is where you’ll edit the existing code by pasting in my proxy script. These scripts simply tell the vps server what to do. For example, one of the three scripts instructs the server to download an apache web server utility, and some cached proxy software. The only other icon you’ll need to care about while building your own proxy server via the hypervm control panel is the “console access” icon. This icon opens up a Java consol allowing you to type directly to the server. If you’ve never had the opportunity to build your own proxy server then this part is a touch more difficult, but nothing to get excited about. The only reason it’s a little more difficult is because it doesn’t support the paste function. You actually have to type in the code by hand. Again, don’t let that scare you off; it works out to be about the same as typing 2 or 3 short sentences.
Your First Time Building a Proxy Server Might Be a Bit Intimidating
because you’ll probably be nervous about doing something wrong or “breaking” something. Let me ease your mind once and for all. When a vps hosting company rents you one of these servers to build a proxy server on, they literally won’t “let you” “break” anything. They’ll rent one of these things to anyone willing to pay, and because of that they have very good protections already “built in” to prevent you, or anyone else, from screwing up their servers. Furthermore, since the monthly rental fee is only going to be about 6 – 10 bucks, even if you were capable of causing any real damage somehow, you can always just canel the vps order and rent another one. It’s not a big deal. They’ll just reset the whole server, and thus, anything you may have done while trying to build your own proxy, will just be wiped clean. Plus hypervm actually comes with it’s own reset button, so in most cases you wouldn’t even need to cancel the vps. You can just reset it yourself and start over. So the bottom line is this; there’s really nothing to be worried about even the first time you build your own proxy. By the way; make sure it’s an elite proxy server you’re building. — You Are Here: Build Your Own Proxy Server on a VPS
More Info: Set Up Proxy Server
OPTION #1:
Standard Version
Use this option to set up as many elite proxy servers as you want to for the rest of your life. It will never become outdated because the script automatically updates itself every time you use it.
OPTION #2:
Advanced Version
Same as option #1 above but also includes instructions for putting multiple ip addresses on the same proxy server. Don't bother with this option if you only need 1 new ip address (most users) but if you want to put lots of different ip addresses all on the same proxy then this is the option for you.
