Elite Bypass Proxy Server -
What Will I Have to do?

What Will I Actually Have to
do When I Order the (do-it-myself) Option? I
Created this VPS Proxy Guide
to be used by Non-Programmers! Of the eight
steps, there are
five that would be considered the guts of the thing. You'll access your
VPS
over the internet just like you would to go to any website (the hosting
company
will issue you a private web address for your server). Once you get
there,
there will be a control panel with icons to click on to perform certain
tasks.
In three of the eight steps,
you'll have to click on the "File Manager" icon, scroll down to a
certain file, and replace the contents of the file by pasting in the
code that
I've provided. In one of those steps you'll have to alter my code a bit
because
I don't know what the IP address of your new VPS will be, and for this
same
step you'll also have to name a new folder and a new file because this
file
doesn't exist yet on your server (because it's the file that replaces
your
servers real identification headers with "fake" personal computer
headers,
so that no one knows you're using a proxy).
In the fourth and fifth of
the five main steps you'll have to type in a few lines of code in a
DOS-like
console panel. These are the two most intimidating steps because you'll
need to
type in the commands precisely. It's not difficult; it's just a matter
of
paying attention to what you're doing. These two steps take a bit more
time
because the console panel doesn't support the paste function, but it's
basically only the equivalent of typing in about five short sentences.
So
that's what you'll be doing in the five main steps.
Of the remaining three steps,
one is simply logging in to the control panel, one is typing a few
lines of
code in to the console panel instructing the server to download some
software,
and then waiting a few minutes for it to do it, and the last step is
restarting
the software to enable the changes you've made (which is as simple as
typing
one line of code into the console panel and then waiting a few minutes
for it
to finish).
I've completely updated this
instruction manual (in March of 2009) explaining and demonstrating
exactly how
to set up a Private Elite Proxy on a Virtual Private Server. I've made
the
entire process extremely simple to follow for non-programmers.
Remember, one of
the most overlooked advantages of learning to do this for yourself is
that you
can set up as many of these Elite-Proxy-Servers as you like, and for
The Rest
of Your Life. It has precise step-by-step instructions for setting up
your
Elite-Proxy-Server, including all the code you'll need to paste in.
I've
updated it with screen-shots so you can see exactly what to do. I've
also
updated it with new links to browser add-ons that will make using your
proxy
server even easier, and a link to the best place to find the best deals
on VPS
hosting. If you can take your time and follow the directions, this
how-to-manual
will work perfectly for you.
